It was a great battle. The two beasts through their power forward, launching at each other's throat. Zaul's brute strength was not enough to deal with the quick moving demon, his teeth flashed about, his claws hammered down at the thing who's touch brought searing flames. He roared in a rage that blinded him, his frustration building as the struck each other, blow by blow. Neither of them minding their surroundings, both of them naive in their struggle.
Soon, the Fu's heel slipped up, and his heart lurched. The demon's eyes flickered to the ledge, the teeth barred in a grin all too knowing of the long drop below. With one great shove, the grey beast was falling, but not before he grabbed the fire devil, slamming him into the rocky wall on the way down. Zaul's own body became like a sack as he tumbled over the stone slide, finally hitting the forest floor below..... his mind lost to his nightmares..... screams of a woman and a man and many children. Screams so familiar, but lost to the cliff above.
Zaul let out a low growling moan, his paws twitching and his tail flopping once as he came to. His eyes flickered open, looking about the greenery. It seemed alien to him. Where was he? Better yet, how did he get here? He chanced a horrendous headache, lifting that massive head of his, to look up and around. Above him was a rather steep cliff. He must have fallen. How silly. Undignified and silly. He whined a moment, looking up at the cliff, wondering if he should try and climb his way back up. Was it worth it? What was the point? What was eh even DOING up there? His whimpers turned to growls as he pulled his feet beneath him, elbows and knees shaking to support himself while the world span. He stood there a moment, blinking hot orange eyes, waiting for the forest to stop dancing. His tongue flapped out in panting as the nausea weaved in and out of his head. He drooped it low, letting the blood flow a moment, still trying to keep upright.
After an even longer time, he was finally able to take a confident step forward, stable enough to walk now.
<Easy..... one step at a time......there you go.....>
His mind spoke, his beast like maw unable to articulate like that of a more human mouth. soon he was at a slow trudging pace, his head hung low, his eyes searching around suspiciously as to that new enemies could present themselves. His heart was fearful, but prayed that his size was enough to scare anything.... scary.... away.
This is how the poor Fu finds himself in the Morran Forest. So lost as to where he came from or what brought him there. Only the sinking suspicion that he's there for punishment, as there seems to be no company around. I haven't done a full strip like this in a while. My goodness, I need to get back into it!
