I am in awe of your shading. It is beautiful. And I really like how the orange on the creature's dreads stand out from the somber colors of the rest of the image.

MAYBE YOU SHOULD PUT A FU DOG ON YOUR BUSINESS CARD.
That's my idea.

I like the color choices though, the bg is really warm and your lighting looks great. I can't say anything about animals, I don't know those from...anything. The little bits of stuff behind his...right arm is nice because it sets your atmosphere back without having to clutter up your sky.

One thing that I question is the back leg on the Fu, is what is under the curve "muscle"? Or does he have a really skinny leg on top? Because the color of that section and the background are sort of similar the shapes get a little lost. Maybe drop the shadows a bit more? Because of the bright sky, even defused, a little darker might give you more punch.

Oh geez, I got carried away. Sorry. *facepalm*

There are parts that I wish were a little more contrast heavy because your dark areas do stand out and as focal points, the two in the foreground really drop the eye down abruptly after you hit the one on the shoulder-crest-thing.
